My first forray into the world of blogs

Hello y’all, this is my brand new blog space. I moved here from blogspot.com, as I didn’t like the neighborhood there. I’m not at all sure about what I’m going to cover in my blog but I’m sure it will develope over time. God has been so good to me and my family and I want to share it with anyone who will listen.

Last week I had done a post in my blogspot site entitled, “slow down big fella”. It was about how I roar into work, hyped up on coffee sometimes, and how things come to a screeching halt when I get a message on my computer that there’s a problem. Everything my team and I work on is tied to the computer and when there’s problems it brings everything down to a standstill. The essence of that post was that maybe God is trying to slow me down, and show me what’s really important – take some time to savor the moment. I happen to have a huge window in my office and I’m blessed to be able to watch the planes take off from San Antonio International Airport, or watch the traffic on IH410. That window also lets me see God’s blessings in the form of the blue Texas skies, or the amazing greenery in the atrium below my office. It’s also a break in the action where I can say prayers for whoever is on my heart at the moment. That’s really what those down time moments can mean – slow down and enjoy life!!
